Tri-City mix
The bustling, crowded streets of Gdańsk’s Main Town provided the backdrop for Melanie’s first days in northern Poland. However, she did not limit herself to admiring the traces of the former merchant glory of the city on the Motława River and boldly set off to explore lesser-known corners of the Tri-City area. She visited the vibrant pub district in the post-shipyard area, strolled through the beautiful park next to the cathedral in Oliwa, explored the spa town of Sopot, and experienced the youthful energy of Gdynia with its elegant modernist architecture. In each place, she sampled contemporary Polish cuisine in different forms, from the restaurant in the historic Uphagen manor house, where she stayed in Gdańsk, to the cosmopolitan venues of Gdynia.
