We invite you to join us on a bicycle tour, on the route of which you will see some of the most interesting attractions of the Low Beskids region. There are several climbs on it, and the forest sections of the trail require a mountain bike, but you will easily ride the entire trail even without a trained condition!
We start at our hosts’ place in the village of Ropki.
On a pleasant gravel road we pass the center of the village and head towards Hańczowa. We are surrounded by fields where horses graze, and the only sound we will encounter along the way, if any, is the whistling of the wind.

After five kilometers we reach the wooden Orthodox church in the village of Hańczowa. From there, on an asphalt road down the valley we head to the village of Uście Gorlickie. There is a store there, the seat of the municipality, and a few kilometers north of the village the valley is filled with the Klimkówka artificial lake, which is particularly popular with kite surfing fans. In Uście Gorlickie we turn right following the signs to Zdynia. Theoretically it is the main road in the area, in practice you will rarely meet a car on it. Is it not beautiful?
After a few kilometers we reach the village of Kwiatoń, where the most valuable wooden Orthodox church in this part of the Low Beskids is located. We write about it in more detail here. In Kwiatoń we turn right onto a side road to the village of Skwirtne. This village, too, is decorated with a wooden Orthodox church onion – it is possible that you will enter into a longer discussion which of all you like best!
From here you can bounce a few kilometers up the valley to Regietów, where there is a stud farm for Hucul horses, which we write more about here. Along the way you will see a chapel with a sculpture of the Pensive Christ, touching in its simplicity. However, if you are in a hurry to go to your hosts for lunch, turn right towards the not very high pass that separates Skwirtne from Hańczowa.
After a long moment of pleasant downhill with beautiful views, you will reach the village of Hańczowa again. Near the Orthodox church, instead of reaching the bridge, we go straight after the yellow and red trails in the direction of Wysowa. On the road winding through the fields, the asphalt will soon end – it happens that on this section and further in the forest we will hit mud and it will be necessary to walk with the bike a short distance.
Beyond the top of a not very high pass, the route descends gently towards Wysowa, returning to the asphalt. Through the charming, wooded Łopaciński Valley you reach the center of this spa town, which we write about here. It is a perfect place to have lunch in a Lemko tavern or a glass of mineral water from the pump room. We pass the spa park and then enter the main road.
Return to Ropki along the road through the hamlet of Huta Wysowska, which deviates from the main road next to the wooden Catholic church in Wysowa. On the last section a not difficult uphill, after the pass at the entrance to Ropki – a downhill that makes up for everything.
