Anita, who lives in Zurich, runs a travel blog Travelita
In 2022 we invited her to spend a few days of summer in the north of Poland – in Gdańsk and at the lakes of Kashubia.
Anita came to the Polish seaside by train from Zurich via Berlin.
After a successful stay at the elegant loft hotel Dwor Uphagen ARCHE in Gdańsk, Anita traveled with her partner Nicolas to the guesthouse Stare Gospodarstwo, which we recommended. It is located in the heart of the so-called “Kashubian Switzerland” – a land of forests, hills and lakes.
"I admit that I had no expectations about the location of our summer holidays. Kashubia turned out to be one of the most surprising travel discoveries for me in the recent years".
Our guests spent a few idyllic days kayaking around the lakes and eating the delicacies of local cuisine prepared by our Kashubian hosts.
After her stay at the Stare Gospodarstwo, Anita went to the seaside once again to see the famous sand dunes in Łeba. At the very end, she went to Gdynia – a beautiful, modernist city by the sea just outside Gdańsk, which is completely unvisited by tourists.
