His passion for cycling and her love of nature met in a small mountain village at the junction of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. “We began to wonder if it was worth it to slow down and start living more slowly,” Magda says.
They fell in love with the area and became friends with the local highlanders, returning recharged with good energy every time.
“As ‘experienced’ real estate seekers by then, we did not hesitate for a moment,” says Magda. “Our motto (in addition to many others) is: ‘if you are not building or renovating, that means you are dead’” – he adds with a smile. It was under such circumstances that Willa Zwolakówka was established.
“The house is taken care of by our housekeeper Ira – a woman with a heart on her hands and a wonderful culinary talent – and Basia, a specialist in delicious breakfasts,” says Magda. The showpiece pancakes – flour pancakes with apple slices and crepes – have become Zwolakówka’s trademark, which is easiest to see when reading the reviews of the place.
