A few years ago, on the slopes of the huge Prussian Srebrna Góra fortress a network of enduro bike trails was created. Interestingly, it was a completely grassroots initiative – the funds for the creation were raised online with the help of a crowdfunding platform!
Enduro is known as mountain biking in its purest form – it combines long climbs and challenging descents on rough mountain trails and paths. It requires a combination of technical skills, as well as endurance. The enduro competition resembles a real mountain tour, in which time is measured only on downhill special sections – just like in rallying.
The five trails with varying levels of difficulty in Srebrna Góra are part of a larger project, which is the MTB Zone of the Sudetes. The total number of trails mapped as part of this project already exceeds 500 kilometers, and the newly mapped trails cross as many as four mountain ranges in the area!
In Srebrna Góra you will find trails that have been divided according to their level of difficulty – from a smooth easy route with single obstacles such as moguls or bands to an “Expert” route with very fast and steep sections and numerous artificial obstacles.
Every year in October, the Enduro MTB Series takes place in Srebrna Góra. Several hundred competitors from all over the country take part in them.
