Roztocze is a picturesque land stretching along a narrow strip of hills from Kraśnik to Lviv. It is characterized by dense forests, sparse buildings, silence and a climate that is unique in the country.
This is an ideal destination for lovers of active tourism. Cyclist will find there the Central Cycling Route of Roztocze.
The scenic route is more than 250 kilometers of intense riding, most of which, 179 kilometers in Poland. The long road is full of attractions. Riding along it, you will see the wild Roztocze National Park, and learn about the turbulent history of the region, where cultures and religions have intermingled over the years. The route is full of beautiful religious buildings, interesting museums or wildlife refuges.
The trail overlaps with part of the popular and highly recommended Green Velo trail, which runs through five provinces of eastern Poland. Most of the trail runs on asphalt, with only a few sections on dirt paths. It is a tour created primarily for trekking, gravel and MTB enthusiasts. Although it is long and challenging, it can also be for families experienced in traveling together.
The Polish part of the route begins at the train station in Kraśnik and runs all the way to the border crossing in Hrebenne. The entire trail is marked in red and has a GPX trail.
